I started wearing Brooks Glycerin a few years ago. I have very sensitive feet and these do the job. Got the last pair that Amazon had and my normal place said they probably won't have them again until July. So happy that Amazon had a pair.I've been wearing Brooks Ghost shoes for the last few years now. The first time I tried Ghost, I wanted to order another 4 or 5 pairs, they were so comfortable. Because I work in a warehouse on concrete, there's a LOT of walking and of course standing. I bought the Glycerin based on the the stability factor. I thought they might offer a more stable standing posture, if that makes sense. I received them today and they are very attractive, but the first thing I noticed is the fit. Because they offer the "sock liner" type fit, it's difficult to get your foot in, especially if you're wearing a typical sock. I also noticed the cushion around the top of the foot is far less than the Ghost shoes. They are probably quite nice for someone working out/running without socks, but I didn't think they were as comfortable and definitely not as cushion-y as the Ghost. I didn't think they offered as good of arch support either. With each pair of new Ghost's, you can immediately feel the arch support and a light, soft, bouncy feel. Didn't get that with the Glycerin. I am returning and have ordered the tried and true Ghost.I bought Brooks Glycerin 17's in December, 2019. I wore them, loved them, and last winter I ordered 3 more pairs for me and one pair for a sister-in-law who had tried mine on when I was visiting. I have now ordered them again for her. This review is for the pair that she just received, that I ordered because she too loves the 17's. I know there are 18's now, but reviews that I've read say that they seem narrower than the 17's are, so until I try some on, I am - and she is - still committed to the 17's. I own a total of 4 pairs of them and now 2 for her, so we're both good for some time to come. I hope the 18's work as well when we've worn out our collection. She and I each usually wear 7 or 7.5 shoes, and 8's fit each of us perfectly. Luckily we live on opposite sides of the country, otherwise I might have to hide my two extra pairs.I did a lot of research before purchasing this shoe! I wanted to know what brand of shoe worked best for people with plantar fasciitis. The Brooks brand popped up. I then read a lot reviews from various places other than amazon. Pretty much everyone was in agreement this was the shoe. Well, I have to agree. I mainly wanted a good shoe for when I am working out on my treadmill. This shoe has helped relieve some pain in my knee, foot, and back. I am very impressed. In the fall, I will be purchasing another pair to start my school year out with and see how they help with me being on my feet most of the day. I love that the shoe has a thick sole and they are super comfortable. I would definitely recommend this shoe for anyone with plantar fasciitis, knee, and back pain. I think the support and comfort will send you over the top!!Of all the Brooks line of athletic shoes, and for that matter all the athletic shoes out there, these are my absolute favorite ones (Glycerin 17). I own several different colored Glycerin 17's, as these do not hurt my arches, etc. I also wear custom orthotics inside my shoes for just about all that I own. My orthotics correct my high arch problem, and fit easily inside these shoes which have an easy-to remove insert. I walk miles in these shoes everyday, as well as have them on my feet during everyday living. I am happy with these new colored darker gray shoes, as they will be perfect for the fall and winter month to come. I also purchased the black Glycerin 17's. My only negative for this purchase is the higher price, which makes these a big investment when purchasing shoes. But, as the old saying goes," you get what you pay for." And, I never experience buyer's remorse for these shoes, once I put them on! I have tried various other Brooks models, and although they are good, these Glycerins wear and feel the best on my feet.I have this shoes for almost a year now and I can say that this is the most comfortable shoes I've ever bought for an ICU RN like me. For a nurse like me, I buy shoes at least 2-3 shoes a year for work that is comfortable when you try them out, or even for the first few months after you buy them and spent hundreds of dollars then it's not comfortable anymore. This shoes has the option for sizes and width that fits in my lifestyle and work. I'm on my feet at least 12hrs for work and I even took this hiking in Colorado and my feet loves them. I didn't feel my bunion complaining. I do recommend this and now looking for another shoes style in brooks so I can alternateOn my feet pacing and stairs an average of 20k steps a day for works "other duties as assigned" during Covid Phase reopening. Was on the shoe hunt for weeks, with everyone being out of stock of sizes. Every shoe is different and finally found one that fits me as I am between a standard and wide in the Toe box area. This one has a low cut around the ankle bones so you don't get the rubbing feel with every step. Had to order online, the one I tried on was "Too Colorful", because of work requirement of black or white. The iridescent is great, allows me to still have a bit of color, but goes neutral to pass shoe requirement! Finally able to stand all day and not have my knees hurting. I hope they hold up... well worth the hunt.I am not a runner, but an avid walker. I am also on my feet, on hard tile, for my whole work shift. I am in my early 40's, but suffer from hip, knee, back and heal pain. I bought two pairs of these Brooks after the brand was recommended by my physical therapist. I usually wear an 8, and that's what I purchased. Right out of the box, I absolutely loved them. They fit perfectly and are like walking on air. It even says on the box "for knees and hips". They have a great arch and heal support. They are sturdy too. I bought this color, which I would describe as maroon and fuchsia, which I love! I also bought the silver/aqua color. I also recommended them to my mom. So glad I tried these!!I bought these shoes based on the positive reviews. I walk to work everyday and wanted a shoe with cushioning. The shoe fit was right but soon in my walk I started feeling pain and developing blisters. Thankfully at work I was able to sit down but the same happened on the way back home. In the middle of a lockdown due to Covid-19 I was unable to purchase a new pair of shoes and had to suffer the same pain on the way back. I believe the item i received was a defective product as it cannot safely be worn to walk, let alone run which is what is designed to do. I would not recommend this product.Love them! Best running shoes I’ve ever had! Won’t be going back to any other make now! They are so comfortable and light. Nothing negative to say about them! Perfect! After having a gait analysis last year I was advised that this trainer would be the best fit for marathon running. Absolutely love themI like everything about these runners, from support, to fit, to comfort, to color and style!Haven't got a huge amount of wear as yet, but delighted with them!!Heaven on your feet.
