I'm very happy with these pants. Last weekend, I also purchased the Patagonia Snowbelle pants, but I was feeling to guilty about the $200 price tag since I'm one of those people that always likes to find a good deal. I figured I would give these Columbia Bugaboo pants a try and if I didn't like them, I could just do a free return and keep my Snowbelle pants... but for the $70 price tag, I had to at least give them a try. Well, I'm so glad I did!For reference, I'm 5'7" and around 138 lbs and wear a size 6ish (sometimes a 4). I work out, but I've also had 2 kids, so I do have a little bit in the hips and tummy, but not too much. When I was in REI trying on various brands of ski pants, I found that the mediums consistently fit me the best, so I ordered this Bugagoo pant in a medium, too. Before trying them on, I held them up to the Snowbell pants and I noticed a few things: 1)They are similarly shaped, but the Bugaboo pant is not as wide as the Snowbelle pant, which is awesome for me since I prefer a slimmer pant. Don't get me wrong, they're still a little wide since they are ski pants, but just maybe an inch less than the Snowbelle. 2) Both the Bugaboo and the Snowbelle are the exact same length. 3) They also have the exact same waist size and both are adjustable. 4) The Snowbelle pant feels smoother to the touch than the Bugaboo... but that's really just cosmetic. 5) The Bugaboo pants are a little thinner than the Snowbelle pants - I'm not sure if this translates into them being less warm, but I plan to wear a fleece base layer anyway. When I tried them on, I loved the fit. The waist is perfect... the length is nice and long even with the regular length... but not too long! I tried the Snowbelle pants on again after the Bugaboo ones and yeah..... I'm definitely taking the Snowbelles back and keeping these! I'll use my $130 savings for something else :)Ordered these for a week-long ski trip. I'm 5'2" 100lbs and ordered a regular S. They were just a tad long when walking around at the base of the mountain, but fine with ski boots (I was afraid the short length would be too short). They were slightly big around the waist as well, but I used the adjustable tabs rather than size down to an XS. The insulated pants were warm –bordering on too warm for spring skiing– and a little wider in the legs than I would prefer, aesthetically speaking. Waterproofing was great and I liked the pockets. The snaps at the bottoms made getting in and out of ski boots a lot easier and are a nice feature. My biggest complaint is that I took one tumble where my left ski bashed into my right leg just below the knee as I fell. Later that day, I saw that the edge of the ski had sliced 2 holes in the pants! The larger one is about 1.5". I was disappointed the fabric wasn't tougher, but plan to sew up the hole and keep using them. Overall these are solid ski pants with nice features at a good price.I'm generally a "cold" person, went skiing this weekend in 15 degree weather, fell a couple of times, stayed warm and dry in these. they are thick and "insulated" feeling. i could have used more zipper pockets, there is only one, on the front. the 2 in the back are closed by just a little Velcro, so i wouldn't trust them with much. they have a nice boot cut type fit, narrower in the knees and more generous at the hips and bottom of the legs. i was a little confused by the conflicting size reviews. i'm 5'8, 140 lbs. i ordered the large because i was worried i wouldn't have enough room for a thin layer underneath and they're much too big. but they're not falling off and i needed something asap, so i'm going to keep them. plus, everyone usually looks like a marshmallow when doing those types of sports! i'd rather be comfortable, and they are definitely that. i looked around a lot before purchasing and the cost vs. the quality and warmth was definitely a good deal.I work in a refrigerated warehouse. Very labor intensive. These pants are great and perfect for other athletic related activities. No loose threads or rips to report after a month of intense labor while wearing these pants.Gripes: I'm about 72 inches or 6' tall. These pants are very long which make it difficult to wear without shoes. However, with shoes, they are not very baggy. I'm about 8-10 in jean size, approx. 129-131 waist. The waist is very big. It adds approx. 3 inches more to my waist. HOWEVER, there is a velcro adjust inside the waist band area on both sides. This helps along with a belt. Although I am considering getting it slightly tailored I have wore these for a month with no problems in regards to them falling.I'm happy with these pants. They are very good quality. Very warm and perfect for cold temps. Wish it had cargo pockets.Measurements: Laying flat: waist to bottom approx. 41 and half inches. Waist: approx. 18 inches. Crotch to bottom: approx. 32 and half inches.I'm 5'11" and 175lbs, normally a size 10-12 pant and bought this in XL. I actually ordered a L as well and returned them in favor of the XL because they gave me room to layer thermal leggings and be able to sit and climb and move comfortably - the L fit comfortable enough but didn't allow for comfortable motion and sitting felt tight. There are tabs inside the waist that allowed me to cinch the waist in since I have more of a booty than waist.Anyhow, I bought these for a 14 day trip around Iceland in September and absolutely LOVED them! They were warm, comfortable, durable, water and wind resistant... All the things I needed for an outdoorsy and hiking, adventuring kind of trip. We went out on a couple of glaciers and snowmobiling and caving. I even wore these to sit outside in the wet grass photographing the northern lights in the middle of the night - I was always warm and dry! Highly recommend. Between these and a pair of lighter Rainwall pants from REI I was weather proofed for any weather condition we encountered (from 40 degrees on up on this trip). For my daughter teaching on Dry Slope. Good quality,, quick delivery and a good price. Todavía no lo he probado en la nieve para ver la transpiración pero parece de buena calidad.that was a gift for my mom, she likes it very much, first , not too expensive, i guess you understand that moms do not like to spend too much Money for themselves. and it is very light , and more important , that is superwarm. yes, i bought as a thermo pants for my mom. and also she said that is super comfortable to wear that in winter
